Quality Assurance

QA Implementation

ISO 9001 quality assurance systems have become a common mechanism for monitoring and managing systems against service (or product) standards and objectives.

Our approach is to remain focused on the basics of what you are trying to achieve, rather than allowing our clients to be buried by their management system. This includes establishing the relationship between the business, its customer and stakeholders, ensuring the system identifies the standards that are actually set by the business and expected by the customer, and integrating good business management into the system to provide sustainability.

We are ideally positioned to be your partner for quality, whether you are developing a new system, improving and enhancing your existing system, or are seeking periodic assistance, possibly in the form of audit support or a system effectiveness review. Ask us how we can seamlessly integrate OH&S and Environmental aspects into your existing quality system.

Product Standards

Many professional bodies and industries have developed Product Standards, often linked to the requirements of ISO 9001. Nationally, Standards Australia has developed hundreds of standards for products and services which when audited, provide a Certifiable Standard of an actual product identified by a particular code. This is referred to as a Product Standard as distinct from the System Standard of ISO 9001.

CRUSE Partnership Australia has 15 years experience in the development, rollout and implementation of Product Standards. Past projects include the development of product standards for Standards Australia, government agencies and industry groups.

Our experience encompasses the determination of strategic issues at inception of the process, through stakeholder identification and consultation, drafting and finalisation of the standard, preparation and planning for audit and ongoing support through the life of the standard.

Change Management

Organisations faced with implementing significant changes in their workplace are faced with a common set of challenges, whether the change results from a new program, a specific project, or a modified process. These challenges include:

  • How to build executive support for the change
  • How to effectively plan and manage the change
  • How to combat stakeholder resistance

Our consultants help organisations with these questions on a daily basis. Their experience will assist you in the 3 key steps that are required to successfully implement change:

  • Preparing for the change
  • Managing for the change
  • Reinforcing for the change

Measuring the effectiveness of the change is important in order to determine if you have achieved initial success, and over time whether that success is lasting. We can plan and implement one or more cultural surveys for your organisation, measuring the success of your efforts against defined criteria.

Cultural Surveys

Cultural Surveys are a series of structured questions designed to provide responses in both quantitative and qualitative formats. The questions can be used to identify the values, beliefs and perceptions of employees in an organistion, that are otherwise difficult or impossible to assess. The survey may seek to establish employee perceptions regarding the company in a broad sense, or may be focussed on a specific area of interest such as safety.

In all cases the survey provides valuable insights into the organisation, can assist in determining where to allocate resources, and can help management to monitor changes in culture and perceptions over time.

Integrating Systems

Many businesses satisfy the requirements of ISO 9001 for their core product or service, either through an audited and accredited management system, or through a management system that satisfies most or all of the requirements of ISO 9001, but may not be subject to external audit.

A subset of these companies also have in place management systems that enable their business to comply with one or more additional Australian or international standards, typically ISO 14001 (Environment), AS4801 (OH&S) and even AS4292 (Rail Safety). These additional management systems are typically stand alone, and may even be fragmented by state or business division, particularly for OH&S where the underlying government Acts vary widely between States and Territories.

Where does this leave a company and its staff, who are potentially faced with competing management systems, operations across state boundaries with different OH&S requirements and a multitude of audits, both internal and third party? Well, they are left overwhelmed.

CRUSE Partnership Australia has the knowledge, expertise and EXPERIENCE to simplify and resolve the inconsistencies, take advantage of the common ground and to put in place processes that take away the confusion. Reducing complexity - increase productivity.
